COMPETITIVENESS & TRADE
ENTRUST played a pioneering role in introducing competitiveness as a focus for SME development efforts in Egypt. As early as 2003 ENTRUST was selected to develop a policy framework and an action plan for the Government of Egypt for enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian SMEs. We were also contracted by the World Bank Group to conduct an assessment of the competitiveness of several value chains in Upper Egypt. The assessment outlined recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of these value chains for each link in these chains. ENTRUST is currently developing a comprehensive master plan for the establishment and operation of the Suez Canal Zone SME Industrial Park. ENTRUST is advising the Suez Canal Authority on the design, governance structure and operations of the SME industrial park.
